Requesting Promotions from Sandbox

After you've set up a deployment connection between a sandbox environment and a production environment, you can push version changes of forms, PDFs, or connections in your sandbox environment to your organization's production environment.

In order to do this, you'll have to create a promotion in Sandbox, add all of the relevant resources, and then send the request. Note that someone will need to review and approve the promotion in Production, then publish the form for the promoted version to be live with customers.

To request promotions, you will need permissions for this feature.

In your sandbox environment, go to the Build page > Promotions. Click Create Promotion.

In the new promotion, add a name that the person reviewing will see (ex. Business Account Opening flow) as well as a description which can include what's changed or other notes about the promotion, and then select the target URL (the production environment the promotion will go to).

Add the form(s) you'd like to promote, then add the dependent resources that you'd like to promote with them.

Click on the top right button to submit the request. The promotion request should now be pending review from the production environment.

To view the resources included in the promotion or to withdraw the request, click the pending status.

Reviewing Promotions in Production

To review and approve or decline promotions, you will need permissions for this feature.

In your production environment, go to the Build page > Promotions. In the pending promotions table, find the promotion you'd like to review.

You should be able to see the type of resources in the pending promotion, and choose to approve or decline.

After the promotion has been approved, the promotion will be visible in the History tab and the forms, PDFs, or connections will exist in the production environment.

Please note that to make the changes from promotions visible to your customers, you'll have to publish the form in your production environment.
